I didn't see the point in starting a new topic for this so I thought I'd just post about it here. But I've been thinking, I can't help but notice so much symbolism in the game. Still playing Majora's Mask and aiming for 100% completion. I'm pretty sure it's the crate one I missed. Oh! And the kind of obvious invisible wall in the room with the falling icicles.ĭid you get the one in the crate in the room to the left of the enterence with all the wolfos? You have to throw a bomb at it.that one? One that you have to slowly and carefully float down to as deku Link using the deku flower outside the boss chamber. One in the ceiling in the room with all the bos that you have to ground ppund switches with goron Link. One in the room with the snowmen things throwing snowballs at you. I'm pretty sure there are 3 or 4 invisible walls that hide stray fairies in Snowhead. If it has the option to switch between a variety of beautiful shields, that may sway my opinion. Currently debating whether to purchase Breath of the Wild. Was it because of the short development time?Īnyway I would love to hear your thoughts on this. If that hideous mirror shield must be in the game at least give the player an option to switch between Link's shields! I don't understand why Nintendo didn't include this basic feature in the game. It may have been an ancient shield that once belonged to him. This would be fitting with the discovery of Darmani the ancient Goron hero. Then Link would acquire the Hero's Shield as he enters the Mountain Village at Snowhead. A way to say goodbye and serve as a memento before Link set off to find where Navi went. It could have been a shield made by the Kokiri's for Link as a leaving present, at the end of Ocarina of Time. I mean more like a wooden shield similar to the one in Twilight Princess. I don't mean like the Deku Shield since that's been seen before in Ocarina of Time and would interfere with the novelty feeling of the game. This would be equipped as he journeys through all the woodland areas, Southern Swamp, Woodfall etc. If I had it my way I would have Link start out with a Deku-style Wooden Shield at the beginning of Majora's Mask. It might just be me but I find shield design to be a big part of Zelda games and a great-looking shield can really make a title. This is a shame because the Hero's shield looks really good on Link but you can no longer see it for the rest of the game, after Ikana Canyon.

For some reason you can't switch your shields in this game like you can in Ocarina of Time. I don't want to constantly be staring at an image of a distressed face. I wouldn't mind but once you've got it it's stuck on Link's back and you'll be seeing it constantly for the rest of the game.

I guess it's supposed to be horrific because of where it's found (Ikana Canyon). It's rare I criticize a Zelda game but I do have one criticism for Majora's Mask.
